Mission of NADC is to build a strong and vibrant African Immigrant community through sustainable community and economic development programs by leveraging resources and addressing cultural needs.
At the New American Development Center (NADC), we adopt a holistic and community-driven approach to empower African immigrants and refugees.
Founded in 2008, NADC was established to tackle the challenges faced by the expanding African immigrant population in the Twin Cities.
Leverage Resources: Partner with public and private sectors to connect individuals and businesses with opportunities that drive economic growth.
Cultural Responsiveness: Tailor our programs to respect and address the unique cultural values and traditions of the communities we serve.
Capacity Building: Equip individuals, families, and businesses with the tools, training, and support needed to achieve self-sufficiency and success.
Advocacy and Collaboration: Amplify community voices by advocating for equitable policies and fostering strong partnerships with organizations and institutions.
Sustainability: Focus on long-term impact by ensuring our programs promote resilience, innovation, and adaptability within the community.
At the New American Development Center (NADC), we provide critical support to renters by offering legal assistance, financial assistance aid for rent and utilities, and housing programs to ensure long-term housing stability.
We empower aspiring small business owners with the tools, resources, and guidance needed to succeed. Our goal is to foster economic growth through culturally relevant support, financial literacy, and mentorship
Our youth programs are designed to inspire leadership, foster personal growth, and prepare young individuals for a bright future. Through a combination of career workshops and workforce training, we empower youth to achieve their full potential.
